Was It Really So Long Ago

The Early Shift

Barely six hours after walking up this hill, I returned to catch the 6:24 train to Chelmsford to collect my car and head for the last breakfast at the Tudor Cafe in Runwell in the company of Rowly and the others before the start of the working day. I mentioned in yesterday's entry his imminent departure from the company after over 25 years continuous service. In his own words (and I know he won't mind me quoting him here): 'My last day at Selex ES and a lovely send off surrounded by many friends from the last 25 years. So many happy memories and shared experiences too many to mention, but I know that I've had an amazing journey. Thank you all for your support and help over the years.'

Thank you too and for the firewood, coffee and all tips tech-related.
