A walk in all weathers!

Today our walking group did a lovely walk at Llangynog, Powys. It went over  hill and moorland, crossed the spoil heaps from the disused slate quarries (pictured), through oak woodlands and along the river.

It was beautiful sunshine when we set out. When we got onto the top, the mist came down followed by a long and torrential downpour. Our trousers were soaked through (at least thin ones dry quickly) and I now know that my boots are truly waterproof. I couldn't resist an extra shot of  some of the walkers getting a soaking. As one of our members said "I'd have brought my shower gel if I'd known".
