Sgwarnog: In the Field

Bottom

Almost directly opposite where I'd been sitting on Saturday, way up in the "AD" of the upper main stand, tonight I was on the Midland Road side, seven rows from pitch-side.

An early goal for City encouraged hope, but it was clear that Gillingham were playing the better football. Once again a half-time lead was lost as the Gills scored twice to run out deserved winners. It seems the City players are struggling with the weight of expectation of their large home crowds. Perhaps when the new players bed in and the team start playing some football things will pick up. And perhaps when they start playing their new wingers from the start of games. And perhaps when they start passing to their new wingers once they're on the pitch. And perhaps...

Three games in, bottom of the table.
