Field Grasshopper

or Chorthippus brunneus!  There is quite a lot of information on this small brown grasshopper but I am not going to duplicate it here!  It was sitting on a perennial geranium leaf in a dry area of the garden which apparently they prefer!  Its mate was nearby.  I was wondering whether this was a female as the body looks quite plump.  The spotted bush crickets are still to be seen in the vicinity of the red rose bush and they are green, much more interesting and larger.  

This one has more the look of Jiminy Cricket in Pinochio.
