Farewell Cockenzie

Looking out from Kinghorn today just before noon.
If you look closely along the horizon, you should just be able to make out the silhouette of a tanker about a third of the way in from the left.  Just to the left of that is the well-known landmark of Cockenzie power station.  Do you see it? Thought not. Visibility was really poor today but at 12 noon, the twin chimneys and the turbine hall were due to be demolished by detonation, which is why I was there.

[For some reason, my first upload of the 'extra' didn't appear but it is there now after a second upload.]

They were very clever in their task (or else just showing off). The two chimneys were felled towards each other so they collided, broke apart, and fell down together into the space between them. Perfect.

Despite the poor visibility, I captured it all from Kinghorn and I include that as my 'extra' but it wasn't worthy of a main blip.

Top-left was at 8 minutes to twelve - before the detonation.
The next 7 frames are at 0.8 second intervals after the detonation.
The final frame is after a further 30 seconds.
