Moon Jet

I've been trying to get this shot for over a year now.  When a full moon rises near my home, if it's the right time of the evening, approaching jets to San Jose International will cross right in front.  It sounds harder than it is.

Tonight, I got the first hit.  I need a little more stability (Julie loaned me a shoulder to rest the 500mm on).  The quickness of the moon's rise and the axis point of the approaching jets, gives you about a 2 minute shot period for this image.  I went out to empty the trash and there it was.

Enjoy!  (tomorrow night is an eclipse!)
