We took a longish hike to Booth's Rock in Algonquin Park. A hundred years ago, this was a very busy area for logging. There was an active railroad here that during the first world war a train would pass near here every 20 minutes! Now it's a quiet wilderness.
In the "extra photos" there are a couple of images of loons (the Common Loon) and a few of its offspring. They were swimming by our campsite, just a couple of metres out from shore.
On our hike today we saw a deer and someone said they has seen a wolf (a very, very rare sighting).
