Floating Flame

Just about the last leaf on the Acer that stands over the pond... dropped gently into the sky-darkened water... disturbing the pond skaters as they zipped across the surface in fear of the late feeding koi. The trees are in full colour now - until the rain comes to wash the colour to the ground. The central heating is still not on automatic, although it's been quietly tested a couple of times, just to be sure...
