The Norman Arch

Staying the night in Cirencester before No 1 son has an interview in Tewkesbury tomorrow. This arch is the oldest building in the town. It was built as a gateway to the Augustinian Abbey founded in 1180. Henry VIII ordered the Abbey to be demolished in 1539 but the arch remains.
