Autumn in the rain

Really miserable wet day but it cannot dim the magnificent autumn colours all around; in fact the rain even enhances them.

So, reluctant to venture out, I'm blipping a branch no more than 6ft from our sitting room window.

200mm F/4 Yashica ML legacy lens (so 400mm ff equivalent on 4/3) stopped down to f/8 to give a hint of the puddles below, on the Olympus E-PL3 hand held.

Hoping for good visibility in The Lakes tomorrow even if it's raining. Feeling much better today after a good night's sleep so more optimistic about making it to a pretty remote farmhouse for the night.
