meet Barney....

we drove to to Tywyn late morning before the full force of Barney hit .......we waited a while...drove on a bit further down the Promenade and switched the engine off.... a while later i started the car.........but the battery was flat.....in the driving rain and gale strength wind i had to finnd out the streetname o pass on to our breakdown people....who had never heard of Tywyn.....well....to make a long story short we were back in the hotel just before 2.... in time for my manicure....when we came through the hotel door a lovely couple also guests, were just on their way to us in Tywyn ( they'd seen us there and said they'd come back in 30 min to see if we were still there...) with a thermosk flask with hot soup......this is how friendships are formed.....

just before full strength Barney, 80 m per hour knocked the hotel electricity out.....thank goodness the generater took over.....and now off to bed......:)
