Respite care

This is the view that greeted me this morning before breakfast, as the sun streamed into our temporary home and tempted me - furry house boots and all - out onto the pavement in Innellan. From left to right on the horizon are the islands of Great and Little Cumbrae, Bute and - behind the trees on the right - Arran, with a sprinkling of snow on the mountains. There wasn't a breath of wind, and there was no-one about.

Just as well, really - it's a long time since I lived in a ground-level flat, and I've never lived on a main road, so that taking the air in a variety of unsuitable garments has become something I don't think about. I shall find the return to normal life wonderful, but I'm not going to forget this view or the amenity of Spinnaker View in a hurry.
