Santa Dash - well more of a Santa stroll

We acted as stewards for a `Santa Dash' fund raising event on behalf of Barnsley Hospice yesterday.  The rain was heavy and persistent and gusting for the whole of the time we were there - 10.30am until 1.45pm.   These santa's were taking part in the 2k race (well stroll) around Locke Park and everyone remained cheerful and positive despite the absolutely foul weather.  I've still got quite a few images to go through to edit and select from before I pass them onto the hospice staff.  I've got several really nice ones with children on them but chose not to post them here.  Unfortunately the weather was so bad and my camera + wet plastic bag had to go away after the 2k race so I don't have photos from the 10k race (but someone else was taking photos).  My fingers were so wet and cold that I would have had to stop anyway.  It was quite a feat of endurance for all of us and we were so relieved to come home to our warm house and lovely fire.
