Sunny Poplars

Early morning rain gave way to greyness - so we popped out for our walk and it continued to brighten up, even though the weather app said more rain due.

We went up the old layby next to the A1(M) - we passed a few horses out for rides and a couple being exercised in a show jumping ring.

At the top of Clifford Moor stands this grand row of poplar trees and the sun was just catching them nicely and highlighting them against the sky.
This image was created in Photoshop by creating a mono version in Silver Efex to highlight the texture in the clouds, then overlaid onto the original colour image and blended by reducing the opacity of the mono version.

On the way back the pigs were in the sun - a shot of the row of pig huts is in extras. These pens are on slightly elevated ground and so are not as muddy as the ones on the flat ground (off to the left) which are pretty much under water!
