Milton of Redcastle.

Lots of rain/hail last night which had cleared by the morning leaving a bright sunny day which was not as forecast by the BBC weather.
We dropped David at the Railway station to catch his train to Kyle of Lochalsh and then he'll be on Skye for two weeks doing a Cel Action course.
We bought a sandwich from Tesco and drove down to the little carpark at Milton of Redcastle. The tide was right in and the birds along way off or on the banks.
The sky looked amazing over the lovely white cottages.

'The village of Milton of Redcastle grew up beside the now derelict 12th century castle. It also had a mill, Inn, a shop and a Smiddy. Stone from the nearby quarry was shipped from the Old pier across the Beauly Firth to be used to build the Caledonian Canal. At lowtide the remains of an iron-age crannog are visable from the shore.'

Just enjoyed watching the mens World darts final.
