Dusty, salt laden air, downtown building air vents billowing great clouds of steam, filthy ice banks decorated with embedded trash, inhabitants scurrying about in the skyways...the indescribable beauty of a midwestern, sub-zero, bright, sunshiny day brings tears to my eyes.
