Barbridge junction

Yet another trip up to Chester to visit Jane's dad.  Hopefully we will only have one more trip as he is improving and we hope that the next time we will be able to bring him back to a residential home we have found near us.

We have previously spotted this lovely bridge over the Middlewich canal  where it joins the Shropshire Union Canal at Barbridge just north of Nantwich and today we decided to stop and take some pictures.  You will probably see something similar from Technophobe.  

Middlewich was a major source of salt production and presumably this canal was used to transport it.
