The Red Count

Bright blue sky and bright white snow today.  Maybe a taste of what's to come with the warmer weather arriving this week.

This is the monument built to Aleksei Tolstoy, a writer in Russian and Soviet times (not the War and Peace guy, that's Leo).  Sometimes known as the Red Count or Comrade Count.  An extraordinary personal history.
