cool hairstyle mate!

...after a morning practising scales on the trombone I needed to get out! Went to the nearby village of Calstock which sits on a bank of the Tamar.  The village is thriving and has a good artistic scene.  There is an art centre in an old Methodist chapel which once also housed the Peterloo Poets publishing house.  There are regular live gigs there of a wide variety of music and also an annual Blues and Jazz festival which takes over the whole village.   Although there is a railway station, the last train is at 10:30 which is a bummer for people from Plymouth wanting to go to gigs - and seeing the whole gig. Astride the river is an impressive viaduct across which the trains travel.  Although I took many photos of the viaduct and my walk along the river, this one of a Canada goose is the one I like best.  The two extras are of a line of gulls just hanging out and of the Calstock.  Off to Newark-on-Trent tomorrow to see the daughters and granddaughters so must pack!
