Wedding preparations

I'm in India for my friend's wedding. I arrived in Chennai very early this morning. The last time I was in India was a work trip in 2011 and it's great to be back. 

I had a few hours sleep after negotiating with the hotel to let me into the room before official check-in time of noon and without having to pay an extra fee that was almost as much as the original room price. After a relaxing afternoon I went over to my friend's place where she was immobilised on the sofa while two talented women painted very intricate patterns in henna onto her arms and feet. Everyone else had much smaller patterns done on our hands.

The official Mehendi with more henna and a lot more people is tomorrow evening.
