Pictorial blethers

By blethers

Spring, perhaps?

Home again, and it's cold. It also rained, quite heavily, for most of the afternoon. But this morning, as I was tempted to hang out some of the post-holiday washing, I noticed these tiny crocuses in the border that spent most of the winter completely waterlogged, if not actually flooded.

We've just had official confirmation that in the wettest winter in living memory, Argyll had the most rain. We may not have hit the news with flooded houses and floating furniture, but it's been pretty grim.

So the survival of these flowers, puny though they be, is wonderful.
