Hardest thing I ever did see

My poor 4 day old son had to return to hospital today as he'd lost 17% of his birth weight and was jaundice, making him too tired to feed. From the elation of his birth to the heart wrenching of seeing him have a cannula fitted to his tiny hand. He was then placed under a UV light for photo therapy making the gaps between cuddles hideous.

The next four days were the longest of my life but now we're home the sense of relief is indescribable.

I love him and his Mum so much.

You really never know the love of your parents until you're a parent yourself.
