Frangipani

The frangipani is almost coming to the end of its flowering life until the end of the year in Western Australia, the flowers are dropping in our garden like confetti at a wedding, making a rather lovely carpet on our lawn.
I learnt another fact about this little flower: (wikipedia) 

The Frangipani was the name of an Italian perfume used to scent gloves in the 16th century and named after its creator, the Marquis Frangipani.
When the Frangipani was discovered its natural perfume reminded people of the scented gloves, and so the flower was named Frangipani.
