Bristol Botanical Gardens

Today took us to Bristol for a walk across the Downs, and we dropped in to the University of Bristol Botanical Gardens.

Not free, but worthwhile, they have a splendid garden laid out in a series of evolutionary branches, with information boards that explain how the various divisions came about. Must make the Creationists tremble! The glasshouse collections were also superb.

This photo feels very tellytubby-like, and all it needs is a few rabbits and a windmill. It's a grassy knoll planted with anemone, primrose and bluebell (this week, anyway) and looks absolutely beautiful.
