Botanic Gardens

A wander round the Botanic Gardens in St Andrews this afternoon.  Glimpses (but not too many) of the sun and the temperature was pleasantly mild.  Sadly, there was no sign of the heron down by the pond but to make up for that disappointment I did spot my first red bottomed bumble bee but he was certainly doing his best to keep out of camera range. I have included the only shot of the bee in the extras.
Plenty of paths, stone steps, flowers, shrubs and trees .... a great place to spend the afternoon.
