The North Shore Path

22.4C sunny and bright with some cloud and hazy. Easterly or ENE wind to 22 mph with gusts to 36 mph.

Tried Spotify today ... found some cool smooth Jazz.

After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk. Mary Chapin Carpenter on the iPod Mini (Ashes and Roses and Stones in the Road). We crossed the road and made our way across the park to the esplanade then headed off out Low Askomill on the North side of Campbeltown loch.

We wandered out as far as the old shipyard, stopping once on the way. I sat on a bench and Maeve had a rest. She is not liking walking in the heat. She prefers the cold for walks. We had a good look around at the old shipyard, then set off along the North shore path. We only went out as far as Baraskomel farm today since it was so warm. I sat on some rocks on the shore where the farm is and let Maeve have another rest and enjoy the breeze. While we were there, and I was enjoying the view South to Ailsa Craig, a yacht came in through the channel and a fast RIB went racing out (and later came back in). Gannets were diving in the channel.

We came back along the same path and along the road. I stopped and had a seat on another bench halfway back for another Maeve rest for a few minutes, then we came back home. Slowly.
