Abstract Thursday poster...

...I did this on an ancient iPad, the first iPad ios5, on iColorama which has not been updated for at least 6 years, but the iPad mostly works, except when I do big files in the apps and it keeps crashing just when I get the effect I want...sigh...so I had to keep reducing the file size...
My phone was recharging so I thought I would out the old iPad1 to good use!
You would love to know I wrote down each step I did and took screen shots and saves all the way through making a total of 81 pics and 3 foolscap pages of writing...my writing has gone missing and the extras will only let me load one extra. It will never let me load any more...I am sure it is the Blipfoto ghost censor making sure I don't bore you or overload their system...

So, I am pressing everything I can think of in iColorama to start to create something from scratch but zilch half an hour later...then finally I got a blue background that was the same colour as the air around me...then I pressed noise and it came up with an interesting pattern which I liked...but only for a few minutes...it was a pattern that would have looked great for a dress I would have made in 1965...nothing I could do could get the brush tool to work (maybe the app was a bit broke with being so old, but I had set myself my challenge to do this create a poster from nothing Abstract Thursday challenge within the iColorama app in my old iPad1).

Then I managed to get some verticals on it which were in a sort of 3D. Absolutely not...but I had already set myself another rule and that was nothing could be undone or erased, I had to plod on. I hate straight lines, especially vertical, horizontal are not too bad. I kept pressing buttons to change the verticals but to no avail, then I am jabbing the brush thingies at this point and suddenly I am able to draw round and round with my finger making squidgy circle patterns you can see in the extra, but I still have verticals...time to find the deform or warp button...

But I found the Escher button first...oh boy did I have fun with this for a long time...then I realised, time to stop playing, this entry needs to be in today...

Then I found how to play with colours a wee bit..purples and greens and blues, and that was me happy...so typeface next...surely there must be a text function in here somewhere...or not...I found it!!!!

I didn't want straightforward writing...but it had to be a straight line to start with, and then I rotated it to diagonally again...and then I went back into warp drive and distorted it..it was still very readable at this point..then I did something on an 'x' and 'y' axis and that created a ghost type below the original line.

I realised that at this point I could lose the whole lot very easily so I put my name on and distorted it. Then I had a final play with colours and I was going to post the gorgeous deep purple and blue and green one (which looked like a forest of trees, but I did this fire and brimstone coloured one (exactly the same picture, but does not look like cool restful trees just because of the colour) which reflects the so hot weather out there in the garden and I am trying to find somewhere coooool....

Aren't you glad I lost my original notes?

PS In case you cannot read the words which you are sort of meant to struggle with (don't ask me why!!) it says.."Amazing Abstract Thursday from deep dark Wales...somewhere"...I think that is what I remember I wrote!
