At least that is the impression he gives. Pete is 13 now and getting very white round his muzzle. And I think he is wise although sometimes his behavior can be a bit irritating, but when you finally twig what he is trying to tell you, and you fulfill his request, it is abundantly apparent that his was the wiser action. 

Today has been a good day with lunch with a friend whom we had not seen for 20 years Much water has passed under the bridge in both our families since that time, but it was comforting to know that he is little changed, immediately recognizable and retains the same old sense of humor
