We can see you!

Guest blip from S, sparing you yet another beach blip. He only had his little compact with him, so the quality is not great, but he was thrilled to see an ibex with her two kids at fairly close quarters (all three of them can be seen in the extra). He got up at 5 a.m. to do a walk from the village of Lentegi, where we'd been on a reconnaissance trip the other day. He was back by lunchtime, so after he'd had a quick shower we went back to Cantarrijan for lunch. The same fish were looking at us even more sadly from the chiller cabinet, so with regret we flicked quickly past all the fish pages in the menu; S had pork and I had duck. The food was OK, but the price was a bit of a shocker -- as one of the TripAdvisor reviews says, this must be the most expensive chiringuito on the Costa Tropical. Still, the situation can't be beaten and our expectations were low, so we weren't disappointed.

Afterwards we had a blissful afternoon lying on the beach; no wind today. I had my first swim of the year and it was fabulous. The water was chilly but if you swam out to the really cold bit first and then came back, the shallow water felt warm by comparison. We dragged ourselves away at about seven, only because we had to go back to pack and clean up.
