Gently down the stream

Catching the rays

Love dandelions at this time of year, in fact that gold can be magnificent – but in their proper place of course.  This little trio were just about reaching the rays, down in a rather shady corner of the water meadows when I walked past late afternoon.

Thank you for your good wishes for our singing yesterday.  The rehearsal hardly existed in the end, but the performance was a totally wonderful thing to take part in, with 5 Hampshire choirs contributing, plus Belshazzar’s Feast (UKers may have heard them on Radio 4 Folk Week earlier this year).  For those of you who asked, the concert was in aid of the Sarah Morgan Foundation, promoting English traditional song.  Our choir is Winchester Community Choir and Sarah was our leader from its beginning in 2005 until her sudden death in 2013.  If you want to find out more there’s a facebook page

Meanwhile, this is the nearest thing I will get to FlowerFriday this week as I’m in London tomorrow meeting up with Jinglyjan to see the exhibition at the Courtauld.  So who knows, perhaps a river picture?

Hope your evening – and end of week – is just dandy  xx
