Empty nest

Haven't seen the osprey on our nest all day. We went over to our friends to pick up Thomas and sat for a long time waiting for the osprey to come back to this nest. They never came. I wonder if the young birds have already hatched. This is quite a substantial nest. The nest box where this pair used to nest went down in the ice this winter so they built here this year. I thought it was a bit low but they have been here up until this week so I guess everything is ok in there. I sure hope so.
