The Queen's 90th birthday.

These are real cakes this time not flower ones like yesterday.

Here you can see our lovely church ready for our celebration tea party this afternoon. Each table, set with china and flower arrangements, with platters of sandwiches and pretty cake stands full of cakes, tarts and scones to have with jam and cream.

Our organist Jim played familiar tunes whilst the tea ladies did the rounds with pots of tea and the afternoon was concluded with a concert of music representing each decade of our monarch's life by our local village players and singing group.

You can see a few of the visitors who really got into the swing in the extras and you might spot me dancing to 'Baby Face' representing the 1920's, the decade in which the queen was born.

Super afternoon which took lots of work in the preparation and planning but it was well worth it in the end.

Glad we had it inside, it has rained most of the day!
