I really agonised about whether to post this. Almost as much as I agonised when I saw the sign this morning and the relatively well dressed man. This morning he was in the middle of London Bridge and I paused twice wondering whether to go back and ask him if he was having thoughts of suicide.

But the cup and the fact he was sitting down on pavement and not out over water let me move on and just feel a pang at the forthright honesty of the message.

Tonight he was closer tot he south side. I captured this at just the right point as a city man checks his flash watch, to busy to see. The fact that message sits below a Samaritans sign is poignant. Shame is such a factor in the high suicide rates of middle aged men.

I hope he is OK.
