Flying High - The Scarce Swallowtail

I've been fascinated by the variety and numbers of butterflies on Corfu but have failed to see one keeping still long enough for a photo - until today.

On top of Corfu's highest peak of Pandokrator there must have been at least 10 varieties of butterflies. Finally, this beauty paused just long enough - gotcha!

It's a 'Scarce Swallowtail': - (Iphiclides podalirius) though not so rare on top of this mountain.

It's 4 years of continuous blipping today - and to think when I started, I wondered if I could complete a week  ;-)
