Stockholm - a walk around Skeppsholmen

Our last morning in Stockholm, and we awoke to warm and sunny weather. Gavin and I had a good run before breakfast and then after breakfast we went for our last walk around this beautiful city. Wherever you go you have a view of water and boats, and you can walk from one little island to another. This morning we walked all around Skeppsholmen and viewed the historic boats moored along the shore - some were built in the early 1900's and are now owned by the naval department, and some have been sold into private use. There were some beautiful classic boats there, that have been lovingly restored to their original state. I have added another view of the boats and one of a sleeping goose!

We then headed off to the airport with plenty of time to spare but the traffic on the motorway was so bad we were convinced we would miss our flight, as it was at an absolute standstill - while Gavin was frantically googling next flights back to London, our ingenious taxi driver decided to take matters into his own hand and sped along the hard shoulder of the motorway (no doubt illegal?) and managed to get us to the airport just in time.

We have come home to a new government and a heat wave...I don't mind the heat wave as we have not had summer so far, and I have much confidence in the new government, but only time will tell if Hammond and May will be in top gear to drive the country to greater success! (sorry, weak joke!)

Has anyone else's life been affected by Pokémon-go? I thought Adam had grown out of Pokémon at about the age of 10 but it seems he has reverted to a second childhood, he found himself chasing Pokémons all over Stockholm - and now he is keen to walk Murdoch to find more Pokémon's, that is a plus!

Now to start on that laundry....
