Loch Achtriochtan

An early rise, as will be the case for all our days here in the Glencoe area. The target for this morning was Loch Achtriochtan, about 20 minutes driving from our hotel. We explored this location yesterday afternoon so we knew what to expect and where we wanted to be. Conditions were beautiful and for I guess two hours and a half, we worked silently and witnessed the first light transforming the scene into something really beautiful and very much unlike anything we will ever see in the flat lands where we live.

In the afternoon we photographed at Orchy River and for the sunset we picked Loch Leven. All very beautiful places but the morning shot is the winner for me...
