Lanshaw Lad

After consecutive days of quite a bit of effort, first physical and then mental, a more leisurely approach was demanded today. I decided not to argue! It turned out to be a rather lovely day, in a number of different ways, although the weather was a bit mixed. I waited until quite late before getting out for a walk on the moor, trying to avoid getting showered upon, and succeeded despite the menacing cloud around.

Lanshaw Lad is the name given to this ancient boundary stone. People have passed by this point for many hundreds of years. It marks the highest point on the old packhorse route between Ilkley and Bingley.
