Double Figures

Celebrating Jacob's 10th birthday in Dalby Forest.
His request was to Go Ape now he's old enough to do the big one. His dad got to go and play up in tree tops whilst C and I played on the junior version

In a welcome change from the usual Yorkshire Day weather, the sun was shining, and after our picnic, we had a further adventure on the bikes, on one of the mountain bike trails through the forest. The most challenging ride we've done with the children. 3 out of 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed it, the little one was not always so sure but loved the 'up and down bumpy bits', and did brilliantly. A very brave 7 year old.

Back to the lodge for J's choice of birthday tea, hot dogs. Accompanied by some tasty Yorkshire beer for me, and finished with chocolate birthday cake.
