The Football League season is underway and with it the opportunity for 11yo, 8yo and myself to get the first use of our season tickets.

Bradford City were hosting Port Vale in League One, both teams with new managers, somewhat refreshed squads and expectant supporters. City dominated possession and exerted plenty of pressure but created very few clear opportunities. Vale defended well and threatened a few times on the break. It ended goalless, but the largest League One crowd of the day were still entertained.

Today's image sees the City flags being waved at the back of the Kop as the atmosphere built just before kick off. In extras, 8yo gets another cuddle from Billy Bantam. "He feels softer this year," she says.
