Hovering Hummingbird

The successfully completed is PMC behind, so us it's time to focus on packing for our 3 and a half week vacation in Machiasport, Maine. Raspberry will soon notice the activity and once she endures the 6 hour plus rise, she will be rewarded as well. She loves our old family house in Maine, lots to explore and many sunny spots to snooze in.

The closing date is set for the sale of my parents' house, my brother and i are thrilled. T and I are so happy that we know the young woman who bought it and hope she will be happy within it's cozy walls.

The hummingbirds have been so reclusive this summer, but they are desperate for nectar now with the terrible drought. This juvenile hovered near a feeder this morning for a shot. He was battling with honey bees.  All the flowers have withered and the grass is all crispy brown with our horrible drought. It's scary and sad. Hot, humid weather is on the way and the rumor of showers, we sure need them. Here's a sparrow ready for a dust bath on our brown, side lawn!

For the Record,
This day came in sunny and warm. We are really appreciating our new Ductless AC. My head still hurts where I had the fan hit, but I really was lucky that day.

All hands healthy
