Common Darter at the AOG

I really wasn't sure what  to focus on today at the AOG when I saw  butterflies warming up for their events. This Common Darter caught my eye, looking so stately on it's perch waiting for the starting pistol. Unfortunately there was (another) false start when a puppy came racing down to the arena putting all the competitors off. This had been the third false start and so the event was postponed until all dogs and their humans had left the arena and the competitors could focus on their events.

Beautiful day here with an excellent forecast for the nest few days, hotting up to an incredible 32C by Tuesday! Hoping to get down to the Battle of Flowers Fun Fair tomorrow evening for some night shots. It's their last night and as we have to pick TheAphid up from a friend's it's seems like a good opportunity to try something different. Anyone got any tips?
