Mud, Glorious Mud

What a fine day. Sunny! Hot even! Only downside was that the tides were very 'springy' - down to 0.4m above the old chart datum, uncovering acres of Granton mud. The less than effective dredger has its work cut out.
While I was there, I was offered lifejackets - a fiver each - by a plausible rogue. Two others bought four each. Apparently he still has 450 in his garage. And then the most err eloquent local fisherman joined us with, as he termed it, a huge f****n lobster. Should see the f***n size of the f***ng thing. It was on the outside o the f***n poat! Goat its f***n claw stuck in the f***n nettin.
Back up town in the glorious sunshine to see the football season kick off with the parade of four cups (don't ask me either!) The local favourites saw off the boys from Perth and then it was to the Diggers, a meal (Pink Olive - I ask you!) and a concert at the Queens Hall to see the incomparable Dan Willson. A fine day.
