Big American Adventure - Day Six

On our first full day in Florida we decided to visit Gatorland. It's said to be the oldest theme park in Orlando and there's certainly plenty to see. Hundreds of alligators of all sizes, snakes, flamingos and deer to name a few of the animals they have. We also saw a couple of entertaining shows where the staff wouldn't have been out of place at the Edinburgh fringe!

It was scorching the whole time we were there but the moment we left the heavens opened and we were all soaked to the skin by the time we got to the car.

As it was my son's birthday he chose the venue for our evening meal, Olive Garden. This is a chain of Italian restaurants and the food was delicious, we had enough left over for it to be boxed up and taken home with us. We also had the obligatory waiters singing Happy birthday and bringing cake.
