A celebration

Twenty three years ago I married this lovely man, and so today we celebrate our wedding anniversary. We started the morning with a run, and then later we went out to lunch. I checked -  apparently for 23 years the traditional present is a silver plate, but instead Gavin got a bowtie, which he is wearing today to show that he likes it. You know how you always have to wear what your partner buys you, 23 years of marriage have taught me that! Luke and Thomas came with us, but unfortunately Adam is away skiing in Austria so could not join us. Luke took this photo of us, and it was the best of a bad lot - (my eyes look funny here).

After the rain all day yesterday, today by total contrast was a beautiful day - sunny with bright blue skies all day. Later this week the temperatures are forecast to soar to 28C which is just unbelievable for autumn.
