Powder puff

These fluffy thistle seeds looks rather like a miniature powder puff!

Back to the day job today. Sunny and comfortably warm and, unusually for Berwick, quite still - very pleasant when I walked to the shop at lunchtime. Nowhere near as hot as it was in the south of England though -  34.4C was recorded in Gravesend in Kent today. Apparently it was the UK's hottest day of the year, and the warmest September day since 1911!


We had a short walk with Louie by the ford at Hough Head this evening. Then went to the caravan to investigate possible causes of the flood water that appeared on the bathroom floor yesterday. There are no obvious leaks so, logically, it must be something to do with the tap/shower head. But, for now, the cause remains a mystery!
