The build up behind gets past.

The highly successful Wind Towers factory at Machrahanish (which I have pictured before, most recently when a major South Korean company purchased it)  exports its products across the UK and Europe.

Most go by sea from Campbeltown but sometimes they are taken  overland and the convoys are an impressive sight, even though they do slow down the traffic on the narrow and winding Argyll roads (even the A roads in places).

This afternoon , on the way back from a day in Oban which had included the annual Volunteer of the Year Awards organised by the Argyll & Bute Third Sector Interface, Marie Claire and I  passed two of the towers  in transit.  The massive lorries had pulled up outside Loch Fyne Oysters where the carriageway is wide  enough  to allow the build up behind to pass.
