The unicorn fly

It's not really a unicorn fly.  For starters, it has two of those horny things (looking at other shots) and secondly, doing the best I can I think it is some type of March fly.  It was larger than a normal blow fly and nothing seems to fit it on a google search other than having three pads on it's tarsi which is apparently indicative of a March fly.  It is probably something quite else after all that.  That eye is rather interesting don't you think.

Not much else to report today.

Edit:  Mollyblobs has narrowed the search and it could be a Green Soldier Fly.
