The Old Rectory

As I went for my evening stroll around the village, I saw 'The Plough' star formation above The Old Rectory which is about 200 yards from my house.

I did take a photo with my phone camera, which wasn't too bad in the circumstances, but it was such a lovely setting it was worth going home and getting my full frame camera. I've taken it handheld and processed the RAW file. The house is lit up like Blackpool, and being just after 9pm it was easier doing a quick exposure rather than a long tripod one. It's turned out quite nice set against the mountain and trees behind it.

We set off from home just after midnight for our October get-away. Hopefully the wi-fi will be good and I can have a look at the wide angle challenge entries on Thursday.
