Menorca Day 14: Monte Toro with Egrets

Flying into the sunset: more detailed and deep in large.
Back blip

Our flight was late in the evening, so we had a full last day, but the weather had turned pretty stormy, and we definitely had that last day feeling. We'd been planning to return to Finca Subaida in the afternoon, but it was very wet so we decided to leave it...
We set off for an early supper in Mahón before catching the flight and the weather started to lift, so we abandoned the Mahón supper plan, and cut back along the Cami d'en Kane to Subaida to see the cows, sheep, and strokable goats. It was very quiet there, and the sun was going down: there were lots of egrets foraging amongst the cattle and perching in trees. It was lovely to see them flying about in the fading light.
The farm cats were more friendly this timethe calves were still adorable, and the cattle were all still licking...

Very sad to leave; it was a splendid fortnight.
