Rudbeckia

This rudbeckia  "Tigereye Gold" was flowering when I planted it in early September but that part of the plant died back and now new flowering stems have grown. Such a cheerful plant.

This is in the garden at the holiday lodge, Amber Nook, where The Man and I are working for the next three weeks. We have set ourselves the task of removing the wooden planks from the veranda, then the joists. Next week new larch joists and polymer decking will arrive.

The new surface should stay algae-free and last for many years. This will save us a lot of worry over the safety of our visitors. The lodge is 12 years old now and is constantly needing planks replaced. The replacements never match so we will be doing a good job of smartening the place up with the new boards! The Extra is showing the state of things at the start of the day
